some creating

had some fun making some cards last night. did one layout too. glad to be back into creating. sometimes i am hard on myself though. i always look at others and compare, i've done that all my life with various things. i need to stop that and be thankful for what i have and appreciate my talents. we are all creative in our own way. so anywhooooo, here's what I made:

a layout of eric and i.
two cards that I made. one is 3x3.

well that is it for now. i am going to do a little more tonight to relax. my mom may get out of the hospital tomorrow. *fingers crossed* Nothing like creating to help me relax.

ahhhh it's back

it has been so long since i have scrapped, listened to music and let myself be lost in creating. it feels awesome!

a little creating

I got the idea for this card from Jennifer McGuire's blog. I have been wanting new ways to fold cards. I usually stick to the standard size. Time to branch out.
Here is the inside:

I took a 6x6 card and folded the top to make it shorter. Paper and vine stamp is by Close To My Heart. Rubons by Creative Imaginations.

Here is a layout I did a couple of weeks ago but forgot to post. Aimee and I caught up with Carla after not seeing her for over 20 years. It was a great reunion. Carla found my MySpace page and contacted me. Happy times!

off to work!

some excellent news!

mom is finally home! after a, what 10 day stay this time around, she is home. i'm not sure if it is 8 or 10 but somewhere around there. i hope this time she mends and doesn't have to go back.

i woke up with an idea in my head for a layout. going to work on it a little before i go to work. i'm going to take Jessica Sprague's free class starting on the 9th. totally excited! watched today's scrapbook show and got some good ideas for christmas cards. here are two of the stamps sets i want at walmart to make christmas cards:

they have some awesome new glitter as well. all are martha stewart. there is some cool paper too with some glitter already on the pages. i can't wait to create!

off to work on a layout and then get ready for work. aimee and i are working out before work today instead of at 11. i love the feeling after a great work out!

yes a new place

i really miss playing around with new banners, especially since the holidays are coming. So here is my new place. Here is the old one for future reference. Old Blog. I wish I could figure out how people make their blogs with the cool backgrounds but for now I am just happy to have a new blog that I can do banners with and not pay for.

Totally excited! I have my front bedroom cleaned out and ready to paint. Then Eric and I will put up the shelves from my old room and then I will start moving in. I have wanted to do this for so long.

Not much on this post but so much more to come!
